Teachers and staff cannot apply sunscreen for students at school. The PTA is graciously providing students with a cool treat tomorrow at the end of Field Day! Please find below the ingredients list for the freeze pops that will be served to students. If your child has an allergy or sensitivity to any of these ingredients, please let us know.

OCRS' Got Talent! is being held this Friday, May 26th at 6:00 PM in the Smithfield High School Auditorium. The exciting free event is an opportunity for OCRS students to showcase their talents and for us to have some fun as a school community!
We have 10+ student acts signed up to perform and we invite all OCRS families to join us for the show to cheer on our student performers. The show should last about 40-45 minutes and it will be hosted by a trio of our 5th graders. We hope to see you there!

The school district is offering free, at-home COVID tests to any families that would like them. The district has a number of tests in our inventory and we would like to share them with families before they expire in November 2023. If you would like to request at-home COVID tests for your family, please complete the form linked below.
We will send home two COVID tests with each student for every family that requests them. If you have multiple students at OCRS, we will send home tests for each student. To make things as simple as possible, you ONLY need to complete this form once for your OLDEST student.

Getting ready for the Buddy Bench dedication at Pleasant View on Sat., May 20 from 10-12, rain or shine @PVES. The benches were funded by the Smithfield Rotary Club & built by our students. Activities include a free omelet station & games. Our school community is welcome.

It may not look like much right now but this bench, constructed by our SHS students is one of 5 that will be dedicated to each school as "Buddy Benches" to promote inclusivity & community. Each school will paint their own. Dedication is open to the public Sat., 5/20 @PVES

The Smithfield Special Education Local Advisory Committee (SSELAC) is hosting a Color Run (Walk, Stroll) on Saturday, May 13th from 9AM to 12PM at Deerfield Park. This is a free, town-wide event to celebrate and bring awareness for all abilities.
