School lunch line

Hello OCRS families! Here is the weekly update for this week:

Important Information

Reminder for students to order lunch

Since students have returned from the Holiday Break, our Food Service staff have noticed a number of students are forgetting to order lunch before school in the morning. This can cause problems with the availability of lunch options that students like, as well as the potential of there not being enough food available for all students. If your child receives their lunch at school, whether paid, reduced, or free, please remind them that they need to make sure to order lunch as soon as they arrive at school. Thank you for your help.

Please leave toys at home

Now that the Holiday Break is over, we know that many of our students are excited to bring toys and other personal items to school to show their friends. However, when students bring toys to school, it provides an additional distraction from learning, as well as there are often issues with special personal items getting lost or broken. We ask that all OCRS students please leave toys and special personal items at home, unless they have received permission from their classroom teacher for a specific reason.

Mrs. Lanzieri's appearance on The Rhode Show

Mrs. Lanzieri, our school social worker, was on The Rhode Show this past Friday morning to talk about her new book, "Roger Williams Makes a Big Wish". You can check out the video at https://www.wpri.com/rhode-show/local-author-wants-you-to-take-a-journey-with-roger-williams/1686288877. Please join me in congratulating Mrs. Lanzieri on the publishing of her latest book!
