We're coming up to the time of the year that just seems to fly by due to the holidays. We have 5 weeks of school from now until the Holiday Recess and almost every individual week's schedule from now until then will have some dates to be aware of.

Important Information
School Attendance during the Holiday Season
This holiday season, the best gift you can give your child is a good education. And the best place to get an education is in school, every day, on time. It’s tempting to extend your vacation by a few days, but remember, those days count as absences. Just a few missed days here and there, even if they’re excused absences, can add up to too much lost learning time. So make sure your child is in school every day, right up until vacation starts. Our teachers will be teaching, and our students will be learning.
PTA School Store
The OCRS PTA is hosting a School Store this Thursday, 11/21 and Friday, 11/22 during school in the afternoon. Thursday will be for grades 3 through 5 and Friday will be for grades K through 2. From the PTA:
- Items will be offered from $0.25 to $1.00
- Students will be limited to a maximum purchase of $5.00
- Please send any money in a sealed envelope with your student's name and teacher
- A flyer will be sent home later this week with students.
Veterans Day Donation Drive Thank You!
The members of the Smithfield High School National Honor Society came to OCRS after school on Friday and picked up all of the donations that families had sent in for the Veterans Day donation drive. Thank you to all families for their generosity!

Parent Teacher conferences are being held at OCRS on Thursday, 12/5 between 1:00 p.m. to 7:45 p.m.
