Important Information
Open House, Thursday 9/19, 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
All families are invited to join us on Thursday, September 19th from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. for the Old County Road School Open House. Come and meet your child's teachers, visit our classrooms, and see the great things happening at OCRS!
Students are welcome to come with their family to the Open House, but all students must stay with and be supervised by their family at all times. Also, please be aware that, while the Open House is a terrific opportunity for families to meet their child's teachers, it is not intended to be an in-depth parent/teacher conference or a discussion about specific issues and concerns. Parent/teacher conferences are scheduled to take place on December 5th and are a more appropriate time for comprehensive discussions about individual students. Parents and families should also feel free to reach to individual teachers at any time regarding their child.
5th Grade Instrument Rental Night, Tuesday 9/17, 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
5th grade families should have received a few email messages with information about the 5th Grade Band Program and Instrument Rental Night. If you are a 5th grade family renting an instrument, the Instrument Rental Night is being held on Tuesday, 9/17 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the OCRS cafeteria. Tri-County Workshop for Elementary Parents/Families, Tuesday, 10/8 at 6:30 p.m.
The Tri-County Community Action Agency is hosting a workshop for elementary school parents/families at Smithfield High School on Tuesday, 10/8 at 6:30 p.m. As we get closer to the date of the workshop, Tri-County will provide details about the topics of the workshop.
NO SCHOOL, Monday 10/10/14, COLUMBUS DAY
There is no school on Monday, October 14th due to Columbus Day.
R.I. Festival of Children's Books and Authors, Saturday October 19th 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
All OCRS families are invited to attend the R.I.
