Hello OCRS families,
I wanted to send out a reminder to all families that tomorrow (Friday, 4/24) is still a learning day for students, but a "Screen Free" day.
There will be no live online teaching tomorrow and there will not be any recorded video lessons for students to watch, but it will still be a "school day". Each classroom teacher will assign their students one guided Reading activity, one Math activity, and one STEM activity that can be completed according to whatever schedule works best for families; students do NOT need to adhere to any specific schedule or time requirements. In addition, Mr. Gruczka and Mrs. Forte will provide a menu of physical and health activities that students can try. All of these activities will be away from the Chromebook or other screens (although you may need to check Google Classroom just to see what the assignments will be).
Please don't forget to sign your child into the online attendance form tomorrow because Smithfield is still counting 4/24 as a school day.
