Thank you OCRS families for an incredibly organized, quick, and successful distribution of learning materials today! Your kind words, encouragement, and support were wonderful to hear. We miss seeing all of our students each day!
Chromebook Login information for K-2 students
Chromebooks for K-2 students were distributed to families today. I will be sending out login information for each K-2 student in the next day or so, including illustrated instructions and tech support information. Remember, we are not beginning online learning until Monday, so we're going to try and take things step by step to make things as easy as possible for families. No stress!
Video chats with teachers on Thursday and Friday
Teachers and I are working together to organize some voluntary introductory video chats with all families. We were thinking that it might be helpful for families, students, and teachers if each class could have a group video call this Thursday/Friday to give some of these tools a try. It would also allow us to have a discussion about the expectations for students when using these new tools, as well as for families, students, and teachers to reconnect after almost two weeks away from school.
Here is the tentative schedule that we have setup for each class:

Tomorrow morning, teachers will send out emails to families with links to join the classroom video chat. Families are welcome to use any internet connected device to join the video chat with the teachers, you do not need to use the school issued Chromebook. You also will not need a specific account. If you're using a phone or a tablet, you may need to download the Google Meet app ahead of time,
