Update

Hello OCRS families,

I wanted to send out some additional information about the learning packets that students took home yesterday, as well as the student Chromebooks that 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders took home.

Student Learning Packets and Chromebooks

  1. The week of March 16th through March 20th is a vacation week (April vacation was moved up to this week for the entire state by the governor), so no students need to be working on any of the learning packets or using their school Chromebooks during the week of March 16th through March 20th. Treat this week like an early April Vacation!
  2. IF school is closed beyond the week of March 16th, THEN the district will be working with families on what the details will be for the learning packets and school Chromebooks. More information will be sent out by Dr. Paolucci and all principals if this is the case.
  3. We are currently working on a schedule for families of students who were absent on Friday, March 13th to be able to stop by the school to pick up learning packets and Chromebooks (3rd through 5th grade) for their students. I will send out the details of this schedule once it has been finalized.

Receiving the Latest Updates

Also, it is important for all OCRS families to make sure that they regularly check the district and school websites and social media accounts to receive the most up to date and accurate information. Dr. Paolucci has been sharing regular information about the district's preparations and plans for keeping students healthy during the coronavirus outbreak. Here is how to make sure that you see that information and stay up to date.
