Hello OCRS Families,
April Vacation is coming up and the Spring weather really showed up this weekend. It's important that all of our students finish strong this week before vacation and then come back to school for the final seven (!) weeks of the school year refreshed and ready to learn.
Important Information
Students should not bring toys to school
We are seeing more and more students bring toys to school over the past few weeks. We have especially seen a number of 3rd grade students bringing "Beyblades" to school. Unfortunately, when students bring toys to school, it provides an additional distraction from learning, as well as causes issues with special personal items getting lost or broken. We ask that all OCRS students please leave toys and special personal items at home. If students continually bring toys to school, they will be collected by their teacher Thank you to all OCRS families for your cooperation.
Reminder, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students bring your recorders to Music
Ms. Reece is asking that all 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students start bringing their recorders to music class this week. If any students do not have a recorder, they should let Ms. Reece know.
The PTA is looking for volunteers for the April 13th Egg Hunt
The OCRS PTA is looking for volunteers to help out at the Egg Hunt event that is being held on Saturday, April 13th at 10:00 a.m. If you you are interested in volunteering, please contact Marlena Brady at pmlbrady@aol.com.
April Vacation
April Vacation is the week of Monday, 4/15 through Friday, 4/19. There is no school during this week. We look forward to welcoming students back to school on Monday, 4/22.
Upcoming Dates and Events
PTA Egg Hunt, Saturday April 13th at 10:00 a.m.
The OCRS PTA is holding a Egg Hunt event on the OCRS Playground on Saturday, April 13th at 10:00 a.m. The event is free for OCRS students and siblings and will be held "rain or shine".

PTA General Membership Meeting, April 25th at 7:00 p.m.
The PTA General Membership Meeting will be held on Thursday, April 25th at 7:00 p.m. in the OCRS Library. All OCRS families and welcome and encouraged to attend!
